The Folk Research Centre extends its sympathies and condolences to all of our Haitian brothers and sisters who have been affected by the recent disastrous earthquake. FRC stands ready to support agencies - local or regional - who are acting to relieve the suffering of the Haitian people.

FRC has, in fact, contacted CARICOM's Ambassador to Haiti, Earl Huntley for guidance on how exactly FRC could contribute to the relief effort. The CARICOM Ambassador has indicated that FRC will be informed of what role it oculd play as soon as CARICOM had worked out a comprehensive plan to the desaster response.
