Roseau Valley and other poems for Brother George Odlum attempts to celebrate one such moment, the life of George Williams Odlum. He was a major political figure in St. Lucia from the late sixties up to his death in September 2003.This anthology - a Jubilee Trust Fund Project - grew out of an insight from one of its Trustees, John Robert Lee, a St. Lucian poet. It brings together a wide selection of voices - local, regional and international. Some are seasoned poets, while others are writers for whom poetry is more a private obsession than a public profession.
The Jubilee Trust Fund, publisher of this work, was established in 1997, for the promotion and support of activities and research whose aims are the enhancement of cultural and human development in St. Lucia.
