FRC Pays Tribute to Mrs. Patricia Charles‏, Former Member of the Board

The Board, Staff and members of the Folk Research Centre (FRC) sympathize with the family and friends of Mrs Patricia Charles, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Folk Research Centre.

It is an especially sad moment for FRC because the Centre might have been a defeated organization had it not been for the tremendous effort that Pat Charles put into ensuring the survival of the organization particularly when the organization was fast sinking in a financial bog. Hers was a crusade to ensure that FRC developed and sustained the organizational prowess to fulfill its mandate to empower people for self-actualization and to preserve and promote the spiritual values which sustain cultural identity.

Pat Charles definitely left her mark on both FRC as an organization and on the members of the organization. Very few who actually had the privilege of encountering this paladin would not have been positively impacted.

The Folk Research Centre has definitely lost a stalwart. We, therefore, empathize and sympathize with friends and family at this difficult juncture.

Nou ka swété tout sa ki afèté lafòs èk kouway. Nou ka swété Pat, osi, wipo èk lapé.
Mèsi, Pat. Ou tiwé kò'w an pami lé vivan mé nou pa kay jenmen obliyé'w.
