Athanasius LaBorde, master drummer of Saint Lucia and a friend of the FRC, died last night, an apparent victim of a burglary gone wrong. The FRC feels deeply this loss to our arts and culture community.

In the past few days we had been making efforts to contact LaBorde so he could be part of our Post Common Entrance programme.

We mourn now with his family and all our brothers and sisters of the cultural family of our homeland.
